Who Knew Preventing Kidney Stones Was this Easy?
Mercola.com

90 to 95 percent of kidney stones pass within a number of days or weeks, without any intervention at all. And, even better news - the best remedy is also the best prevention, and also happens to be the least expensive: simply drink more water.

So far, no one knows exactly how much the initiative will cost, but on the campaign trail Obama mentioned he expected to spend "a few billion dollars a year" on it, and to receive about an equivalent amount for the project from private businesses and philanthropies.

Several states are reconsidering "zero-tolerance" policies, the draconian regulations affecting many public school children since the 1990s. Even in Colorado, where the 1999 Columbine school shooting catalyzed a huge increase in zero-tolerance legislation nationwide, legislators have been reconsidering the policies.

Another Marxist History Text

Michael Reid, the Economist's Americas editor, wrote in 2007 that the "history" presented in Open Veins is "that of the propagandist, a potent mix of selective truths, exaggeration and falsehood, caricature and conspiracy theory." "Unwittingly," concludes O'Grady, "Mr. Chavez's gag gift served another purpose. If there has been any doubt about how he has run his oil-rich country into the ground during a decade of booming petroleum prices, the mystery is now solved. Mr. Galeano's book is Mr. Chavez's bible."

Gimme That One World Religion

In the last few weeks, there have been some interesting things being said about Jerusalem, and more specifically, the Temple Mount.

On June 19, 2009, "Is there a place for God's Holy Mountain in Jerusalem?" appeared on Reuters' FaithWorld blog. The writer seemed to give hope that maybe, just maybe, the Jews and the Arabs could find enough trust in one another to allow the Dome of the Rock mosque and a new Jewish Temple to exist side by side.

This isn't the first time this idea has circulated. Many people have expressed similar hopes. And ideas like these will not be going away anytime soon. Anyone with common sense desperately hopes and longs for peace. In a situation like this, we all really think, "Can't we all just get along?"

The Washington Post carried on their website an article calling for a "new vision" for the Temple Mount, on June 10, 2009. That "new vision" also entails having a new Jewish Temple being built alongside the Dome of the Rock. This article claims that such an event would be the fulfillment of Zechariah 14:9, "And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day there shall be one LORD, and his name one."

There is just one problem with this - the God of the Bible and the god of the Koran are not the same. I know that is neither politically nor religiously correct today, but the fact remains. And while the False Prophet may indeed lead the Jews and the Arabs into temporary harmony with one another, it will only last long enough for Satan to accomplish his goals.

Reuters carried an article on June 18, 2009, to cover this issue even further. Last Thursday, a conference began that was organized by the Jewish faction of the Interfaith Encounter Association. But those Jewish members aren't naive enough to think this will all happen because enemies suddenly decide to get along. One even admitted that it would take "Divine Intervention" for this to happen.

The day is coming, when several smooth-talking people will convince the peoples of the world to unite - unite politically, religiously and economically. They will also help rebuild the Temple, only they will not be on Israel's side at all.
