Today we received a hostile phone call from ANSW which we believe to be the communist affiliated group Answer in San Francisco. The stammering man that called asked if we were some kind of fascist group and wanted to know if my family was proud of me for being a fascist. I told him my family defeated the fascists and the only people that thought sharing information with the public was fascist probably thought their own mother was a fascist for making them go to bed on time as a child. He hung up.
Here is the number the call came from ANSW 415-821-1625. If you decide to call and share your opinions, remember they are probably recording your call so remain polite and professional and keep the high ground. We are on the right side here and they are flakes, but that is no reason to be rude like they are.

Personally, I think Tuesday's "riots" were a conveniently staged event to make those that believe in the law to look like the bad guys, and those that believe in breaking the law and destroying America the victims. I noticed that last night ABC News (hey, it was 10 minutes before time to go to church, and I turned the Tube on and BAM! there is the biggest piece of propaganda) ran a piece right after their report about the "riots" on Neo-Nazis, Skinheads and Kluckers leading campaigns against illegal "immigrants". Hmm...let's plant the idea in the mind of the public that the opposition against illegal "immigration" has nothing to do with believing in obeying the law, the Constitution, protecting Americans or anything noble like that...no, let's make people think that it is all about racism, and that anyone who is opposed to the illegals coming to the US is a racist!

Senate Bill 1082 began as a reauthorization bill for the drug-fee requirements for pharmaceutical companies that were seeking FDA approval of their drug products. It has now been revised so many times it is becoming what is known as a legislative sausage with perhaps some 5-6 other amendments in the works.

Ron Paul Files in South Carolina
Republican takes important step toward securing GOP nomination

ARLINGTON, VA – South Carolina Republican primary voters will be able to choose Congressman Ron Paul when they vote for the Republican nominee for president. Today, Dr. Paul filed the necessary paperwork with the South Carolina Republican Party and paid the required $25,000 fee.
“With Ron Paul on the ballot, South Carolinians will now have a true conservative they can support,” said Ron Paul 2008 campaign chairman Kent Snyder. “We know that Dr. Paul’s message of freedom and limited government will resonate with the citizens of the Palmetto State.”
Officially joining the field in South Carolina comes in the midst of exciting times for the Ron Paul 2008 campaign. Dr. Paul recently returned from successful trips to New Hampshire, Arizona and Iowa. He will participate in the first Republican presidential debate at the Ronald Reagan Library this Thursday, May 3.

Lee Roberson Goes Home
Earlier this year, Dr. Tom Malone died, and now Dr. Lee Roberson has also gone home. Dr. Roberson was one one of the major movers and shakers in fundamental Christianity. God granted him many years to help, encourage, exhort and rebuke Christians, and to get the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost. (7 years is a long time to be upon this earth, and most preachers do not last that long.
According to the obituaries, Dr. Roberson died at 4:45 am yesterday (Sunday, April 29, 2007) - just before sunrise. The funeral is scheduled for Thursday at 1 pm.
Dr. Roberson's wife, Caroline Allen Roberson, passed away in 2005. She always stood by him, and supported him throughout their many years of marriage. I can only imagine that her death was a difficult thing for him. Based on their testimonies, we know that they are together once again.
I was privileged to hear Dr. Roberson preach in his later years while I was in college. Even in his mid to late 80s he was a powerful and commanding speaker. You knew that he lived what he preached.
Dr. Roberson was one of the last, if not the last, of that great generation of Baptist preachers who arose in the early to mid 20th century. Where are the great preachers now? They have gone to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, and no one has taken their places. It is as the days of Judges chapter 1: Joshua and his generation passed and no one took their places. And those were very dark days.
