Liberty Dollar Lawsuit Update

The US government has been served and we have our first firm date. The government must reply by May 25, as they have 60 days from date of service.
Immediately following the government’s reply, which we anticipate will be a denial, the judge will call a Scheduling Hearing with the opposing attorneys and layout the schedule for discovery, briefs, orals, with his decision to follow. Given that each of these four steps will take 30 days, plus the two months the government has to reply, means we will not have a decision until September 25. “Dishonest Abe” No Christian - Part II
This is the sequel article to the "Lincoln, like Satan, 'Knew' Scripture" from the American View. -Editor/RP
In a previous article, Pastor Steve Wilkins wrote about the evidence that indicates that Abraham Lincoln was not a Christian. In his book “Lincoln” (Simon & Schuster, 1995), David Herbert Donald, a Professor of History Emeritus at Harvard, supports what Pastor Wilkins wrote.
Donald says (p. 15) that from his earliest days Lincoln had a sense his destiny was controlled by “some Higher Power” and that he “turned away from orthodox Christianity” finding it easier as a young man to accept something called the Doctrine of Necessity which Lincoln defined as the belief “that the human mind is impelled to action, or held in rest by some power, over which the mind itself has no control.” He calls this view “fatalism” and says it made for “a pragmatic approach to problems, a recognition that if one solution was not fated to work another could be tried.” He adds that “a kind of motto” for Lincoln was: “My policy is to have no policy” another way of saying that our 16th President had no fixed principles at all.
Donald says (p.33) that in 1823 Lincoln joined the Pigeon Baptist Church but his son never became a member. Lincoln’s stepmother says: “Abe had no particular religion —- didn’t think of these question at that time, if he ever did.” Indeed, it is said that the young Lincoln, after church, would climb on a tree stump, and “rally the other children around him and repeat —- or sometimes parody —- the minister’s words.” Offended, his father, Thomas Lincoln, as one of the other children recalled, “would come and make him quit —- send him to work.”
Donald says (p.48-49) Lincoln was “reluctant to accept any creed and though his parents’ Baptist belief in predestination was ingrained in his mind, “he felt more comfortable in thinking that events were foreordained by immutable natural laws that by a personal deity.” In fact, Lincoln’s analytical mind was more persuaded by “the few local freethinkers” (read: atheists — J.L.) than by any evangelists.
Donald says that Lincoln’s conversations with these “freethinkers” led him to Thomas Paine’s “Age Of Reason,” that classic rationalist attack on revealed religion, and Constantine de Volney’s “Ruins of Civilizations” which saw morality as the only essential, demonstrable part of religion. So damaging was the allegation that Lincoln was “an open scoffer at Christianity” that in his 1846 race for Congress (against the circuit-riding preacher Peter Cartwright) he was obliged to issue a formal denial.
Donald says (p.337) that when his son Willie died, Lincoln “increasingly turned to religion for solace,” his wife Mary saying: “He first thought.. .about this subject —- never before.” And although he talked about God numerous times during his Presidency, Donald says these references, for Lincoln, “were abstract invocations of a Higher Power to save a society.” When a Presbyterian minister said Willie was in heaven, Lincoln wanted to believe this but “did not experience a religious conversion, reflecting later that he underwent what he called “a process of crystallization” in his religious beliefs. Still, he never became a member of any Christian denomination, “nor did he abandon his fundamental fatalism.”
Donald says (p.514) Lincoln said, when a friend saw him intently reading the Bible: “Take all of this book upon reason that you can, and the balance on faith, and you will live and die a happier and better man.” He says (p.566) that Lincoln’s doctrine of necessity “was not a dogma accepted by most Americans.” - J.L.

Recently O'Donnell has, in her usual loud, bullying manner, began unleashing certain allegations regarding 911 on The View. Instead of bringing forth these allegations in a more civilized fashion with some organization to her presentation, O'Donnell comes off as a raving lunatic. This has launched persistent attacks by O'Reilly, as well as the cacophony of shrill rodomontade from Joe Scarborough and other cable anchors. Most of the ranting by these anchors has not truthfully represented what O'Donnell didn't say and they should be held accountable, as O'Reilly himself spouts so often on his spin zone show.

Was it the Central Intelligence Agency that paid for expenses of plaintiffs and other costs associated with the SFA's lawsuit against publisher Kris Millegan and author LTC Dan Marvin with secret $$?

What I allude to above is subterfuge used by the Special Forces Association (SFA) during the period in which they concocted a $700,000 lawsuit, brought together (and I assume intimidated) men who had served most honorably with me in Team A-424 at An Phu, South Vietnam, together with Colonel William Tuttle who was commander of all Special Forces in the IV Tactical Zone of South Vietnam in 1965/1966 and took my publisher and me to Federal Court in Charleston, SC. After two hours of deliberation, during which time they had their lunch, the jury of four men and four women reached a verdict of NOT GUILTY - They found that my book had not libeled nor defamed the plaintiffs inasmuch as what I wrote of and what I reported in my book Expendable Elite - One Soldier's Journey Into Covert Warfare was the truth. This fact was supported by written or oral (and recorded on audio tape) evidence prepared by some of the defendants in 1988 to corroborate or support what was in the manuscript I had sent to them and to offer additional material from their own recall to include in the final book, all of which was provided the jury.
On page 3 of SFA Chapter I-XVIII's September 2003 publication, entered under the title "Report from National Headquarters" is written "Jimmy Dean also briefed Chapter 1-18 on LTC(R)Dan Marvin and his book 'Expendable Elite', which has been proven to be 100% lies."
On page 2 of the SFA's Winter 2003 issue of their quarterly Magazine The DROP, (Defendant's Exhibit 21) their Secretary (James Dean) tells the readers "In a letter to the publisher of this outrageous book, Mr. Robert Millegan of Trine Day, the Association demanded that Expendable Elite be taken off the market or a correction be made to claim this publication a work of fiction, not the truth, within 30 days or legal action would be taken. Neither Trine Day nor the author, Dan Marvin, believed we would keep our word. Now, by the time you have received this Winter Drop, a court action will have been initiated by seven members of A-424 and others named in the publication, against defendants Trine Day and Dan Marvin. The attorneys were obtained by the Association and full support will be given to the prosecution of this case."
On pages 99 & 100 of the 16 February 2005 deposition of Colonel William B. Tuttle (now deceased) taken and recorded at Lake Wylie, South Carolina, and read to the jury, Colonel Tuttle stated that he had spoken with Jimmy Dean, Secretary of the SFA "about three or four times" about the lawsuit with the last contact having been "over a year" ago. Colonel Tuttle went on to tell of the SFA paying for the trial, stating "Well, they're [SFA] financing it, and from what I understand, they're going to pay expenses." When my attorney, Barry Bachrach, cross-examined Colonel Tuttle, he asked, "Who's going to pay the attorney's fees?" Colonel Tuttle responded "I guess whatever the costs are, they pay the expenses." Then, on page 101 of that same deposition, in response to this question by attorney Barry Bachrach, "And the Special Forces Association is paying the expenses associated with the lawsuit?" Colonel Tuttle simply responded "Yes, sir."
On page 2 of the SFA's Spring 2006 issue of their quarterly Magazine The DROP, SFA President Gary Betterton states, "The SFA didn't sue; we did support the plaintiffs with some expenses and helping them obtain documents, lawyers, and witnesses."
The expenses associated with travel, housing, meals, and other miscellaneous expenses for six plaintiffs, witnesses for the plaintiffs, and attorneys must have exceeded $300,000. I say that because the expenses for the two of us (Kris and me) totaled approximately $200,000 with $152,000 of that being in well deserved attorney fees.
The SFA had said they would be paying expenses of the plaintiffs and would provide legal support. In fact they stated unequivocally in their winter 2003 issue of The DROP, (Defendant's Exhibit 21) "The attorneys were obtained by the Association and full support will be given to the prosecution of this case."
Now let us get to the truth of the matter - or at least let us try. IF the SFA had done as they had said they would, why is it that their official Financial Statement for the "four months ending April 30th, 2006" as published on page 6 of their Summer 2006 issue of The DROP, which included all income and expenses for the months of January through April, clearly stated that the TOTAL EXPENSES for the FOUR month period to be $88,728.78. This total DID NOT INCLUDE ANY EXPENSES related to the trial in any way, manner, shape or form. Not one single detailed/designated expense for the plaintiffs, witnesses, attorneys, etc. was recorded in their Financial Statement.
Just who paid all those expenses? My assumption is that the Central Intelligence Agency covered all of the expenses, perhaps doing it the way they did when providing former ARVN Lieutenant General Dang $20,000 to help him get settled in the USA in 1990 after he had suffered years of degradation caused by our government's unproven insinuations. That money was given to General Dang in four plain white envelopes with $5,000 in each envelope consisting of unmarked bills. Sneaky? I say Yes, a typical example of CIA subterfuge.. Should I hold my breath waiting for the SFA to tell us the truth of what and how they paid those expenses as they had promised or who it was that took care of their promise? I say, No. The world will likely never know the truth of either action unless the plaintiffs and their three attorneys have the courage to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. In both instances - the trial and the secret payment to General Dang, the CIA was doing what they could to silence any person who would tell about their sending ARVN troops to kill me and my men in June of 1966. The American people must - in their judgment - never know the truth of covert operations. In my judgment that very premise is one of the major factors involved in deciding the fate of President John F. Kennedy in 1963.

Johnny Hart Dead at 76
My favorite cartoonist, Johnny Hart, creator of the comic strip B.C., passed away this weekend.
Hart created a lot of controversy in the last ten years or more with his comic strips. Mainly, it was because of his Christian beliefs, which he incorporated into his cartoons. In a day when Christians are supposed to keep their beliefs hidden, while other religions forcefully proclaim theirs, it was only natural that Hart's cartoons would cause a ruckus.
Hart's stand was not without a cost. On more than one "controversial" occasion, many newspapers canceled Hart's comics (he also helped put out The Wizard of Id). Thankfully, he took it in stride, and kept going in the right direction.
According to reports, B.C. will continue, as family members who have been helping Hart on the strips for the last few years say there is still a lot of his material which the world has not yet seen.

Community planners decide where housing will be placed. Committees decide what industries are to be allowed and how they will operate. Self-appointed watchdogs decide the foods that you shall be permitted to eat, to protect our health, of course.
Family planners decide the number of children allowed and how they will be raised. Those children, of course, will be well taken care of every day in public education centers that not only provide a centrally planned curriculum, but also provide for all physical and mental health needs.

A historic coalition of organizations plan to converge on Washington, DC on April 22-26 to carry the message from the American public to lawmakers that America needs comprehensive immigration enforcement and not amnesty to deal with illegal immigration.
ALIPAC has launched a website at www.HoldTheirFeetToTheFire.org dubbed 'Amnesty Alamo', which will help promote events and attendance for these historic events and to enhance the efforts already in place by radio show host Rodger Hedgecock, Federation of Americans for Immigration Reform (FAIR), DA King of the Dustin Inman Society, and the angry truckers called 'Hold Their Feet to The Fire'.
"We are planning a historic effort in Washington to stop this Scamnesty," says William Gheen of ALIPAC. "This legislation reflects a radical Open Borders agenda that must be stopped because a majority of Americans oppose it. We need enforcement of our existing immigration laws, not legislation that radically suspends our existing laws, as the Flake Gutierrez legislation does. This is not just amnesty legislation. This legislation will end America as we know it."
The efforts in DC will be supported by citizen activists that are going to Washington by the thousands and by citizens at home engaged in the lobbying effort. The events will start on Sunday April 22, with a rally in Lafayette Park across from the White House set up by DA King. FAIR will hold a lobbying training session set up, with Roger Hedgecock's 'Radio Row' and "Blogger Row", which includes over 34 talk radio show hosts and bloggers that oppose amnesty. The show hosts and bloggers will be broadcasting live from the Phoenix Hotel calling on all Americans to join the effort.
Angry truckers plan to block the freeway's around Washington DC on Monday April 23rd. The effort is open to any non-racist organizations that wants to participate. Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, 9/11 Families for a Secure America, NumbersUSA, and many other organizations are going to DC as well.

Our activists were working hard to try and drag this info out of ICE or the LA Police when this story broke. So far, this story has run mostly just in the newspapers in CA and Canada with only a few publications picking it up in other states. It appears that famous Director Bob Clark and his son have joined the list of thousands of Americans killed each year by the criminal acts of illegal aliens. As you can clearly see in the second story, cities and governments like Seattle are the reason most of these Americans are killed.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the grieving families and we hope that they will pursue every legal avenue possible to sue the taxpayer funded officials that failed to their jobs which set the stage for these murders.
Some newspapers are trying to say that ALL HISPANICS drink and drive more than Americans because of cultural differences and their sadness at being separated from their families by our evil Immigration laws.
The more obvious answer is that it is not Hispanics, it is illegal aliens causing the problem. Illegal aliens have demonstrated a pattern of lawless behavior and disrespect for American laws combined with a taxpayer system that shows them again and again that they can break our laws without fear of enforcement.
Why should anyone be surprised they are partying hard and ignoring our DWI laws as well? They have shown no respect for our laws and the system says that is OK by those in power.
Unfortunately, the results are 12-25 Americans per day are being lost just like Bob Clark and Rebecca Griego.
