What Are You Going To Do When Your World Falls Apart?

“For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.” Ecclesiastes 9:12

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:13

Evil Days

Part of human nature causes us to build our own little worlds. Some people spend their entire lives constructing their worlds, which revolve around themselves. We think we are in control of our lives, circumstances and events. We plan and think that things will turn out a certain way. We never take into consideration the uncertainties of life. We think everything will always be our definition of perfect.

However, the Bible is still true, and the greatest source of information about life. The rain still falls on the just and the unjust. Whether we know it or not, whether we expect it or not, to everyone there comes an Evil Day. The Evil Day is one in which everything we hope for fails. It is when your world falls apart. It is when everything goes wrong, and we think that nothing good will ever happen.

Everyday, thousands experience Evil Days, most of the time the rest of us do not care, just as long as it is not happening to us. But, your Evil Day is coming, too. No amount of plotting, scheming or evading can prevent it from coming to you. It’s arrival is as certain as your death. You cannot avoid it. Most people will experience many Evil Days, some more than others.

What will you do?

Since you know that you will have Evil Days, you must ask yourself, what are you going to do when it comes? What will you do when your world falls apart? What will you do when life doesn’t turn out like you think it should? When your child becomes ill, or even dies. That’s your world falling apart. Your world falls apart when your parents become ill, and die. When a sibling becomes ill, you lose your job, your spouse dies, your spouse leaves you—all of these are examples of one’s world falling apart.

Do not think that it will never happen to you, because it could, and some of it will.

The Evil Day comes and shatters all of your hopes and dreams. It’s never wrong to have these goals, hopes and dreams, but what if something prevents them from becoming a reality? Will you go insane? Will you react foolishly?

What you can do

Here are some things that you can do to prepare for the Evil Day, and to take you through it.

Get in the Word of God. No other one thing will help you more than this. It will prepare you for it, and it will keep you on the right path when it does come.

Stand. Follow Ephesians 6:13, and stand for something. Stand up for what you believe in; stand up for what is right. Get involved in a cause that is bigger than you or I, and just stand!

Find a strong, Bible-believing church, and stay there. Don’t hop from place to place, find a good one and stay there. When trouble comes, don’t use it as excuse to quit on God, stay in church!

Listen to your pastor. God placed him in that position for a reason. He can help you, if nothing else, through the preaching of the Word of God.

Let God be real to you. Don’t make God some little fairy tale creature, that you only believe in when you are sick or in trouble. Have a real, daily relationship with Christ, and follow him.

Freedom Quotes VOL. VIII

Here is this week's edition of Freedom Quotes. These quotes come from great men like Patrick Henry, Booker T. Washington, and Jefferson Davis.

Editor/RP

It cannot be emphasized too strongly, or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ! For this very reason people of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity and freedom of worship here.
~Patrick Henry

Caesar had his Brutus - Charles the First, his Cromwell - and George the Third - may profit by their example. If this be treason, make the most of it.
~Patrick Henry

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must undergo the fatigue of supporting it.
~Patrick Henry

For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth, to know the worst, and to prepare for it.
~Patrick Henry

Obstacles may retard, but they cannot long prevent the progress of a movement sanctified by its justice, and sustained by a virtuous people.
~Jefferson Davis

The principle for which we contend is bound to reassert itself, though it may be at another time and in another form.
~Jefferson Davis

I have never let my schooling interfere with my education.
~Mark Twain

There is a certain class of race problem-solvers who don't want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public.

JRP RFID Press Release

Jefferson Republican Party Calls On All States to Assert Their Rights and Oppose the Implementation of the REAL ID Law

For Immediate Release—

The members of the Jefferson Republican Party have always been concerned with the Federal Government’s blatant usurpation of power. One such piece of legislation which causes great concern is the REAL ID Act of 2005, Division B of an act of the United States Congress entitled “Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act for Defense, the Global War on Terror, and Tsunami Relief of 2005” (Pub. L. No. 109-13, 119 Stat. 231, May 11, 2005).

This act is set to take effect on May 11, 2008, and would do the following to the States in the Union:

1. Impose an undue financial cost. Nationally, the cost will be $11 billion, each state is expected to shoulder an estimated $200-$400 million of the total cost.
2. Take powers from the individual states previously left to them, namely that of the issuance and regulation of automobile driver’s licenses.
3. Place the personal information of individual citizens on a card that could be used for criminal gain. Information could possible be that of financial and medical, depending upon the discretion of the US Department of Homeland Security. This card is to be swiped through equipment that is easily obtainable by non-police personnel.
4. Be used for possible checkpoints throughout the United States.

Congressman Ron Paul (R-Tx) has stated the following about this law:

"This legislation gives authority to the Secretary of Homeland Security to expand required information on driver's licenses, potentially including such biometric information as retina scans, finger prints, DNA information, and even Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) radio tracking technology. Including such technology as RFID would mean that the federal government, as well as the governments of Canada and Mexico, would know where Americans are at all times of the day and night. " (Ron Paul -A National ID Bill Masquerading as Immigration Reform, Before the US House of Representatives, February 9, 2005)

Therefore, we the members of the Jefferson Republican Party, call on all states to act as the Legislature of Maine already has, and to enact a resolution refusing to implement the REAL ID Act, protesting the actions of that law, and calling for Congress to repeal the REAL ID Act of 2005.

We, the members of the Jefferson Republican Party, do call upon the elected Legislators of our respective States to pass this resolution without delay. We call upon our State Legislatures to pass laws interposing the power of the States, between the citizens and this unconstitutional attack on their liberties and welfare.

****Please forward this JRP Press Release to your state senators, representatives, and governors, as well as to media outlets in your area, your friends and all who love Liberty.***

Proper immigration laws are already in effect

The following is a list of proper immigration laws which are already in effect. Many cities do not enforce them, because they are afraid of lawsuits. However, these are Federal laws, not local laws, so these laws are supposed to prevent anyone enforcing from being unjustly attacked. Of course, we have seen in recent days, that the Federal government does not even protect its own when it coems to fulfilling their agenda.

Rules of the South

I received this in an email from my youngest sister a few days ago. At first I thought it was one of those typical jokes about how dumb and backwards Southerners are. After reading it, I think the author was serious when he or she wrote it. It can apply to any Southern State, and it does a very good job portraying how we think, especially of all those Yankees that come down and try to change us.

Editor/RP

RULES OF THE SOUTH

A friend just moved from Southern California to South Carolina and he e-mailed this. He said they gave it to him at the state line.

If you are going to live or visit in the South, you need to know these rules:

1. That farm boy you see at the gas station did MORE work before breakfast than you do all week at the gym.

2. It's called a gravel road. No matter how slow you drive, you're going to get dust on your Navigator. Drive it or get out of the way.

3. The red dirt -- it's called clay. Red clay. If you like the color, don't wash your car for a couple weeks -- it'll be permanent.

4. We all started hunting and fishing when we were seven years old. Yeah, we saw Bambi. We got over it.

5. Go ahead and bring your $600 Orvis Fly Rod. Don't cry to us if a flathead breaks it off at the handle. We have a name for those little 13-inch trout you fish for -- bait.

6. Pull your pants up. You look like an idiot.

7. If that cell phone rings while a bunch of mallards (ducks) are making their final approach, we will shoot it (the phone). You might want to ensure it's not up to your ear at the time.

8. No, there's no Vegetarian Special on the menu. Order steak. Order it rare. Or, you can order the Chef's Salad and pick off the two pounds of ham and turkey.

9. Tea - yeah, we have tea. It comes in a glass over ice and is really, really sweet. You want it hot -- sit it in the sun. You want it unsweetened -- add a LOT of water.

10. You bring Coke into my house, it better be brown, wet, and served over ice.

11. So, you have a sixty thousand dollar car. We're real impressed. We have a quarter of a million-dollar combine (it's farm equipment) that we only use two weeks a year.

12. Let's get this straight. We have one stoplight in town. We stop when it's red. We may even stop when it's yellow.

13. We eat dinner together with our families. We pray before we eat (yeah, even breakfast). We go to church on Wednesdays and Sundays and we go to high school football games on Friday nights. We still address our seniors with yes, sir and yes, ma'am, and we sometimes still take Sunday drives around town to see friends and neighbors.

14. We don't do hurry up well.

15. Greens - yeah, we have greens, but you don't putt on them. You boil them with salty fatback, bacon or a ham hock.

16. Yeah, we eat catfish, bass, bream (pronounced brim) and carp.. You really want sushi and caviar? It's available at the bait shop.

17. They are pigs. That's what they smell like (money). Get it -- pig farms -- income -- money? Get over it. Don't like the smell? Interstate 77 goes two ways Interstate 20 goes the other two. Pick one.

18. Grits are corn. You put butter, salt, and maybe even some pepper on them. If you want to put milk and sugar on them, then you want Cream of Wheat -- go to Kansas. That would be I-20 west.

19. The Opener refers to the first day of deer season or dove season. Both are holidays. You can get pancakes, cane syrup, and sausage before daylight at the church on either day.

20. So every person in every pickup waves? Yeah, it's called being friendly. Understand the concept?

21. Yeah, we have golf courses. Don't hit in the water hazards. It spooks the fish and bothers the gators...and if you hit it in the rough, we have these things called diamondbacks, and they're not baseball players.

22. That Highway Patrol Officer that just pulled you over for driving like an idiot...his name is Sir, no matter how young he is.

23. We have lots of pine trees. They have sap. It drips from them. You park your Navigator under them, and they'll leave a logo on your hood..

24. You burn an American flag in our state, you get beat up. No questions. The liberal contingent of our state legislature -- all four of them -- enacted a measure to stop this. There is now a $2.50 fine for beating up the flag burner.

25. No, we don't care how you do things up North. If it is so great up there, why not stay there?

26. And no, down here we don't have an accent, you do.

In God We Trust.

YA'LL COME BACK!
