Dismantling The First Amendment

Right now, the First Amendment is under a major attack. The current band of thieves that sit upon Capitol Hill, declaring themselves to be gods, are planning to dismantle and forever destroy the right to free speech in the United States of America. Have we really come this far since 1776? Is this what the Founders intended for us to see?

The so-called "Hate Crimes Bill" is being attached to a harmless sounding national defense bill. That in itself is dishonest - attaching a free-speech destroying bill to one that is supposed to protect our nation. But, since when was Congress known for honesty?

On its own, the hate crimes bill is known as S.909. Since every the most far-left Communists knows this bill will not pass in the open on its own, it is being slipped in under the guise of a national security bill. Every tyrant in the history of the world would be proud.

This so-called hate crimes bill will silence Christians, preachers and others who oppose sinful and destructive lifestyles. You will no longer have the right to express your opinion. It will protect everyone, except those on the so-called Right.

The Department of Homeland Security has already declared this year that the most dangerous people in this nation are those that believe in First and Second Amendment rights, the Bible, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, opposed to abortion, etc.

Where does it end? With the end of the last vestiges of Liberty. With prison for those who believe in such quaint and archaic things. With the elimination of such dregs of society from "civilized" nations.

Call me an alarmist quack if you wish, but if this bill passes, it will only be the beginning.

Too late. The so-called Hate Crimes Bill passed the US Senate last night. Senator Brownback submitted an amendment, which was accepted, appears to reflect some backing down by the Leftists that control Congress. Regardless, the bill should never have been passed, and shows that this nation has completely gone down the tubes.
