After all the rhetoric, it is amazing that three days after the disputed Iranian presidential election President Obama still has not said anything. Nada. Zilch. No comments at all. And that is strange to say the least.
You would think that he would have said something, about a very controversial nation - a nation that has been at odds with our own for over 30 years. After all, he did say that he wanted to open up talks with Iran.
Three days later (while the media is becoming deathly silent over the events there) Iran is still a mess. Riots in the streets, people are being beaten down by the regime. And it is increasingly obvious that the whole election was a fraud. Yet, the silence from the White House is deafening.
But, I guess that's what those Iranians who voted for Mousavi deserve for believing that their government would actually let them have a voice, and for believing that the American government actually cared about them.
