The Ordained Power

Often I hear Romans 13:1 used to justify the acceptance of unacceptable behavior from those "in power." This verse has been used to validate the authority of those who hold office such as the President of the United States. Let us take a look at that verse:

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Romans 13:1

This leaves the question, "who are the higher powers?" One may answer this question by saying something like, "George Bush" or "Dick Cheney." But this answer doesn't ring true. You see, according to the Constitution of the United States, We The People have the power which has been ordained by God.

So, are we using this power wisely? We keep looking to "elected officials" to fix problems like abortion, immigration, and unemployment. But our elected officials represent us. They do not hold the power, we do. And as long as God has ordained me with the power to cast a ballot in an open and free election, I will vote for the candidate who has best demonstrated honor and obedience to the Lord as well as having a firm grasp on the Constitution. For these reasons, I will exercise my "ordained power" to vote for Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party for President of the United States.

This editor has heard a phrase to the effect that "a true conspiracy theorist can find a conspiracy in his own morning cup of coffee." That's cute, and all too true, but what about the day when a conspiracy theorist is right? This editor never made an issue of the "religious beliefs," (in lieu of the word faith), of US Presidential Candidate Barack Hussein Obama, until now. Mr. Barack Hussein Obama claims to be of he "Christian," yet he said, "I believe there are many paths to God." This statement contradicts true Christian faith, as Christ Jesus said, "... I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the father, but by me." (John 14:5)

Question: What do you call a man who "believes "there are many paths to God?"
Answer: A man who does not truly believe in the Christian faith.
Question: What do you call a male, (regardless of age), who attends a madrasa?
Answer: A Muslim.

Like many of you, this editor, at first, found Barak Hussein Obama's statement about "campaigning in all 57 states," to be no more than "a Dan Quayle moment," (Dan Quayle's misspelling of the word 'potato' ). However, Barak Hussein Obama's statement about the "57 states," isn't funny anymore. There is an organization called the "International Humanist and Ethical Union." This is an Islamic organization, and according to this group, there are 57 Islamic states.

This editor is of the belief that each person should have the right to follow the faith of their own conscious, but this editor also believes that there are only two faiths, the faith through Christ Jesus, (a faith called "Christianity,") and all other faiths are the faith of Satan. In light of this information, if US Presidential Candidate Barak Hussein Obama is truly a "Christian," as he claims, then let him say: "Jesus Christ said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the father, but by me, and as a Christian, that is what I believe."

Until this editor hears those words from the mouth of Barak Hussein Obama, his claim of being a believer of the "Christian faith," is in question with this editor, as this new information gives new impetus to previously laughable claims of Barak Hussein Obama actually being "a Muslim in Christian's clothing."
