When "Christians" Destroy
Part of life is realizing that we are all human. Everyone at some point in time will make a mistake. That is a guarantee, and we need to get used to it. The greatest Christian is not perfect, and cannot be as long as he or she walks in this flesh. Even they fall from time to time. But, many times we forget.
I have witnessed many times where Christians, and even entire churches, rise up against a brother or a sister who has fallen by the way. Instead of helping that person get up, we surround them and throw stones at them, kick them and beat them, so that they may "see the error of their way." We think it is out duty to discipline them, and seem to take pleasure in giving out that measure of "discipline". We think we are the "righteous" ones and that we must make examples out of our "wicked" brethren.
Instead of helping them, we drive them away. There are some good people who cannot bring themselves to go back to church because they were hurt in this fashion. Instead of going to see the wounded, we talk about them at our "services". Instead of lifting them up to God, we cut them down before one another.
Much too often we listen to and believe what we "hear", instead of finding out the facts. We are always ready to believe a juicy piece of gossip, and dismiss the truth as lies and hearsay. We become Pharisaical bands of wolves seeking our next wounded prey to tear limb from limb. Good Christian people have their names ruined and are run out of churches; preachers are run out of town, and have their names smeared.
Those that do such things are either, weak or not saved at all. How can a child of God do such things, I ask? Many churches have ceased to be fortresses of the truth, and simply become meeting stations for wolves to gather and hunt for their next victim.
I can understand why some people will not go to church. Yes, they are saved, but they have been hurt severely by a group calling itself a "church". They no longer trust preachers, and do not trust other churches. Too many of us have blood on our hands, and we destroy more every day. Unless you have been hurt by someone, then you have no way of understanding how a person can feel this way.
The Bible has much to say about these bands of wolves that are helping Satan to destroy the Church. For sake of space and time, I'll mention a few of those from Proverbs.
"There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness." Proverbs 30:12
Those who attack the wounded, are that "generation" mention in Proverbs 30:12. You cannot claim to be an angel, yet act like a devil. So what if you go to church? Who cares that you give money, go "visiting", or do a host of other "Christian" things? You are as filthy as any unrepentant devil worshipper.
"Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place: For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief." Proverbs 24:15 & 16
Back off! You may think you are getting away with your blood lust, but your day is coming. The righteous may and will fall. But he'll get back up. You may kick him when he's down, destroy his name, and destroy his life, but your mischief will catch up to you. God will reward you for your evil work.
"An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbor: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbor: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace. A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter." Proverbs 11:9, 11 & 12
Many say they are Christians, and are not. An hypocrite, one who says he is a Christian, but is not, is the one that will attack and destroy one who is a Christian. And every time it is done with the mouth. Also, a lack of wisdom on our part will cause us to despise others. When you have wisdom - the wisdom that God gives - you will keep your mouth closed, and help that fellow Christian back up, instead of tearing him down.
"These six things doth the LORD hate; yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among the breathren." Proverbs 6:16-19
That very famous passage of Scripture describes the actions of those "destroying 'Christians'". Those are the people we should be on the lookout for and run off, not the fallen Christians. Instead of joining their hateful schemes, we should oppose them at every turn, and let them know that they are not welcome in our churches. If we do not, then they will corrupt every single church.
Finally, here are some things we need to do for the fallen, and these will be done for us when we fall:
Put yourself in their place. Don't forget that you are human too, and that you could have been the one making the mistake that others are making such a big deal out of. Also, get the truth, don't depend on what "others" have told you, and do not believe everything you hear.
Pray for them. Lift them up before God, instead of cutting them down before others. If you want to talk about somebody, talk about them to God. Quit acting like a wolf.
Lift them up - encourage them. Help them get back on their feet. If you were the one who fell, you would want someone to do the same for you.
Help them get back on track. Let them know they are not alone, and they are not the only ones who made a mistake. This will give them the desire to stay in church, and not get discouraged and leave.
Stop beating them senseless. It's not your job to discipline, that belongs to God and God alone. Even if it were your job, you would be guilty of abuse. Whenever a Christian stumbles, we think we should break their arms and legs for the offence.
It's time Christians got right with God, and started helping the wounded soldiers, instead of shooting them in the back.

The U.S. House of Representatives will soon vote on HR 254, which establishes “hate crime” legislation. HR 254 will create new special rights for homosexuals under the guise of enhancing law enforcement. It would make “sexual orientation” a protected class alongside race, religion and gender.
The only way this bill can be defeated is with a real grassroots uprising by those who care about the future of their children, families and marriages!
The intent of this law is to force the acceptance and approval of homosexuality on every American, regardless of their religious views. Here is a short summary of HR 254.

*Landlords will be forced to rent to homosexuals.
*Scouts, and all non-profit organizations, will be required to hire homosexuals as leaders.
*Biblical language used to define homosexuality will be considered “hate speech.” City officials have already had a billboard removed in Long Island, NY, because it was classified as “hate speech.” The billboard read: “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination.” (Leviticus 20:13)
*Employees will not be allowed to say anything negative about homosexuality in their workplaces.
*Classes promoting the homosexual lifestyle will be included in school curricula beginning with the lower grades.
*Employers will be forced to hire homosexuals.
*Adoption by homosexuals will be legalized in every state.

Merck Backs Down
Apparently, Merck doesn't like bad press any more than anyone else. In a surprising move, at least for the time being, the Pharmaceutical giant has backed off its nation-wide money-making scheme of pushing their snake oil "miracle drug" vaccine for HPV.
Merck and their cohorts (which include Texas governor Rick Perry, a "conservative Republican") have garnered a lot of fire over the last few weeks, as they unveiled plans to force all girls to have their vaccine. Different states have offered different penalties. Some called for barring the child from school.
However, the bad press is making Big Pharma take a step back. When public opinion begins raging against any business, group or organization that entity tends to change directions. Merck is no exception, so do not be fooled into thinking this is a major victory for those opposed to Merck and their scheme. They will be back, with greater effort.

The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has been on a tear under the administration of Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez.
Manufacturers of various products have been told in writing that their products are not a firearm and that they can be marketed outside the federal paperwork system for selling firearms. Then, months or years later, BATFE sends another letter reversing the first
determination.
The Congressional Research Service found in 2005 (ATF Firearms Procedures) that BATFE has no written procedures for determining what is a firearm. The "process" is arbitrary, and the string of reversals in recent months shows how capricious a BATFE determination is.
Historic Arms received a letter of determination in 1995 that its BM-3000 was not a firearm. Indeed, Historic Arms had designed the product as an accessory for a machine gun to fire different kinds of ammunition than the gun had originally been designed to fire. For 11 years, the company manufactured their product without incident. But in 1996, Historic Arms received a second letter determining that the product was actually a machine gun!
As in other cases, BATFE wanted all the company's products sent to Washington along with all the names of the customers who had purchased the item.
In 2004, the BATFE determined that the Akins Accelerator was a "non firearm" accessory that allowed a shooter to bump fire a semi-auto and considerably increase the rate of fire. This year, BATFE has determined that the trigger finger which is bumping the trigger is itself a machine gun! Again, send in all the product and customer names.
For years, Centerfire Systems had a parts kit that it sold for machine guns. Now, six years later, BATFE has reversed itself on this company. And, the Bureau has put Centerfire Systems through the same drill -- send in their products and their customer lists.
In a related matter involving the definition of what makes a gun a "gun," KT Ordnance was raided by BATFE last year and its products were confiscated. What were the dangerous items? A parts kit for customers to legally make their own (unregistered) firearm. Again, BATFE wanted the customer list.
The capricious activities by the BATFE wreck economic chaos on these companies, in addition to violating both theirs and their customers' rights protected by the Second Amendment.
It is time for the BATFE to put their procedures for determining what is a firearm, and what is a machine gun, in writing.
This latest bait and switch is but another backdoor effort on the part of the federal government to attack gun ownership. This time the attack is on manufacturers.
ACTION: Please contact Pres. Bush. If we do not restrain BATFE now, they will do immeasurable damage to the firearms industry in the United States.

Roger Hedgecock: Lincoln did nothing wrong

On 12 Feb 2006, "conservative" radio talk show host Roger Hedgecock substituted for Rush Limbaugh. While discussing the war in Iraq, Mr. Hedgecock commented on the "greatness, wisdom, strength, and leadership" of Union President Abraham Lincoln, along with his contempt for the people of the South. A caller attempted to take Mr. Hedgecock to task by asking a few questions, ending by asking if he (Hedgecock), had ever read the book, "The Real Lincoln?" To which Mr. Hedgecock railed against the caller's factual information and rudely dismissed the caller with the typical Lincolnite dogma, "hey, he won the war, he saved the republic, he united the country, etc., etc."
Outraged by this example of media bias and anti-South bigotry, this editor later called Mr. Hedgecock on his radio show at station KOGO, in San Diego, California. Considering the "oath of office" obligates a US President to preserve, protect, and defend the US Constitution, one would think during a "time of war," a president would want to protect the rights of US citizen's all the more, but Mr.Hedgecock is under the opinion that "during a time of war" the US Constitution becomes null and void. This was the question I put to Mr. Hedgecock: "Did President Abraham Lincoln ever do anything, in your opinion, that was illegal, or unconstitutional?"
Mr. Hedgecock's answer was simply, "No, Lincoln never did anything illegal, or unconstitutional." In Mr. Hedgecock's opinion, Lincoln's putting US citizens in jail without trial or bond for "treasonous activities," (i.e. political speech and opposition to a US President's illegal war), the deportation of political opponents, the forced closure of media outlets, and the execution of ten non-military US citizens in Palmyra, Missouri by the US Army, were all "acceptable behavior" on the part of Lincoln because "he was acting as Commander-in-Chief." After rereading the "Commander-in-Chief Clause" of the US Constitution, this editor found nothing that suggests that the rights of US Citizens are suspended during a time of war.
Mr. Hedgecock asked this editor "Where in the US Constitution is the act of leaving the Union permitted?" This editor asked in return, "Can you tell me where in the US Constitution that the act leaving the Union is prohibited?" When this editor pointed out that the State of Texas had reserved the right to leave the Union in their State's constitution when that state was admitted to the Union, Mr. Hedgecock's reply was, "Well, that's just in that one case."
Mr. Hedgecock then went into the "Lincolnite Talking Points," how the US would not be as "free, or strong, or economically powerful if we were two separate countries today," and asked this editor "Will you people ever stop fighting the Civil War?" As with so many of the Lincolnites, Mr. Hedgecock fails to see that the goal of this editor, and many of his readers, is not to "fight the Civil War," but to "fight to expose the truth of history and protect US Constitutional liberties."
The idea that party loyalty and political power trumps the constitutional liberties of average US citizens is not a phenomena that is limited to the Democrat Party. Dear readers, please allow me to put this hypothetical question to you; for the sake of argument, in November of 2008, a Democrat is elected as President of the United States and immediately after taking the oath of office, this person has Fox News shut down, Rush Limbaugh is deported to Canada, the station manager of KOGO, AM is arrested and jailed without bond for "treasonous activities," many Republican members of congress are whisked away in the night, never to be heard from again, the private property of US citzens are seized as "a necessary measure for the war effort," and in New York City, ten innocent Muslims, who are all US Citizens, are lined against a wall and shot by the US Army, and the Democrat President promotes the officer responsible for the execution of the ten Muslims from Major to General. God forbid that this ever happens, but if it did, would Mr. Hedgecock simply say, "No, the president is not doing anything illegal, or unconstitutional, because the US President is also the Commander-in-Chief?"
