The White House thinks it’s calling America’s bluff.
By Mark Krikorian NATIONAL REVIEW ONLINE

After its relentless six-year campaign for amnesty crashed and burned in June at the hands of the common people, the White House has come up with a new plan: to start enforcing some of the laws they should have been enforcing all along, and so thoroughly scare the public with the consequences that there will be a popular groundswell for amnesty that will finally vindicate the administration position.

Has it ever occurred to anyone, especially Baptists, that there is yet another problem with the swelling number of illegal immigrants from Latin America? Nine out of ten of these folks are Catholics. In a country governed by law, that is, a republic, religious affiliation is a non-issue. But America is no longer a republic; we're a democracy. Just ask a liberal. If citizens' rights [i.e., voting rights] are given to millions of illegal, Catholic immigrants, do you suppose they'll have a problem with the largest non-Catholic denomination -- Baptists? They sure had a problem with us during that 800 year period [400 to 1600 AD] when they were the majority denomination. History does repeat itself. Have you noticed the only "conservatives" on the Supreme Court are Catholics? Will they really honor the 1st Amendment's promise of religious freedom? When push comes to shove, will they adhere to the Constitution or the Vatican? I'm not trying to arouse some sort of religious debate or spark the anger of religious bigots. I'm just suggesting those Baptists and reformed Catholics [Protestants] who're providing sanctuary for illegal aliens may be forging the chains they'll some day be forced to wear.

A few writers have made mention that the illegals do not share any commonality with the majority of Americans. Religiously, the illegals are Catholic (and who knows how many Muslims slipping across as well). Politically, many are Marxist and have been taught that they should take whatever they want from their "masters".

It is nothing but a repetition of the fall of Rome - and we have accomplished such a nefarious feat in half the amount of time it took the Roman Empire to fall.
